Child Mindfulness Coaching

Can Mindfulness Help My Child? 

Yes! Children of all ages can benefit from mindfulness, the simple practice of bringing a gentle awareness to the present moment. In fact, childhood is the most important time to begin learning mindfulness skills. Although the brain continues developing throughout life, the connections in the prefrontal cortex are created at their fastest rate during childhood. Mindfulness specifically promotes skills that are controlled in the prefrontal cortex and can therefore have a powerful impact on a child's development of skills such as: emotional-regulation, motivation, memory, and patience. 

 

How Does Mindfulness Coaching Work? 

I work with children ages 4+. Mindfulness coaching involves learning the practice of meditation as well as learning through stories & games that develop mindfulness skills. Mindfulness can be fun! For more details download and review the coaching intake forms.
